With Phillip Glenister. Not sure how easy it'll be to get in the States, but if you like old-school Brit cars (and old-school Brit accents), it's a great watch. Link to the Ch4 site !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Episode 1: the Ford Escort Mexico.

Thanks for the tip! With hola I can (apparently) watch it from Germany as well. Might take a while to load though.

It's really rather good :)

Agreed. I'd just be happy with tagging someone and have it pop up as a notification.
Also if you are watching it, when they go to 'deepest darkest Crawley' they're pulling your leg. Crawley is two towns over from where I am, and the notion that it's the 'deepest darkest' of anything is frankly hilarious :)
Not exactly a place you'd want to live, and a bit chavvy in places, but still fairly middle class.

At 8:39, they use the same music as /drive central. Coincidence?
Btw, it works perfectly with Media hint for firefox and I can view it despite being German.

Aren't you fron the south-west? I remember that you are/were studying in Bath (nice town BTW). From my visits to the UK, the really hardcore stuff is way further up North.

I did study in Bath, but I live in the South East. Google 'Cowden' and that's right near me.
You're right, a lot of the hardcore automotive stuff is around the midlands, where our motor industry had its heart. They're still a big contingent down here though. We're really not far from GoodWood, and the South East is where a lot of the moneyed people from the midlands come to retire, so lots of nice classics down here :)

And again you are right. But when I used the term "hardcore" I was talking about Birmingham and the likes. Drove a Narrow Boat through there once, when meeting a lift up bridge some people our age (we were around 18-19 back then) helped us do that. We got into a chat. "Where are you from? What do you do?" "Germany, just finished school. what do you do?" "Drugs. Mostly hard drugs!" Hmmm.... This is what I meant by that. You know, the "Shameless" part of Britain. But they didn't really mention that when talking about Crowley.
Anyways, would you mind alerting us to the new episode? I really liked this one. It's a bit like Wheeler Dealers minus Edd talking you through all of the steps.

Ah I see. You do get that more up north, although that probably follows the socioeconomic gradient away from London. I can't imagine there being many crack-dens in Crawley, although I wouldn't put it past the shadier areas.
Shall do :) I can't wait for the Stag one.
